A Chorus Line

On the bare stage of a Broadway theater, 24 hopeful dancers audition for eight positions in the chorus line of a new musical. After the first round of cuts, 17 remain. Zach, the show’s choreographer/director, asks that they introduce themselves and speak about why they became dancers. As the individual dancers share their backgrounds, dreams and insecurities, their unique personalities emerge. Based on the experiences of real Broadway dancers, stories range from the humorous to the heartbreaking to the triumphant, reflected in songs including “At the Ballet,” “Dance: 10; Looks: 3,” “What I Did for Love” and “One.”

History Museum on the Square is excited to present Queen City Quest – a one-day fundraiser scavenger hunt challenge that will be fun for friends, families, and co-workers! Participation is open to all and carrying out the hunt will be simple and fun. Players will use GooseChase, a free and easy to use an app, to find challenges, complete questions, and track their progress. Teams can also track opponents’ progress with the action feed and automatically updated leaderboard during the game, adding a healthy dose of competition!

Travis Tritt - Set in Stone Tour

Earth Day - Picnic Dinner & Movie

Celebrate Earth Day with a bring-your-own outdoor picnic followed by a free screening of a family movie with an environmental message. Come early for tree activities and take-aways. Movie begins at 8 p.m., bring your own lawn chairs and blankets.

Master Gardeners and Garden Society Plant Sale

The 22nd Annual Master Gardener Plant Sale in Greene County will start at 8:00 a.m., Saturday, April 27, 2019, at the Springfield-Greene County Botanical Center located in Nathanael Greene/Close Memorial Parks, 2400 S. Scenic Ave., Springfield, MO, and will continue until 1:00 p.m. People are advised to arrive early if they want the best choices of shrubs, small trees, bulbs, perennials, annuals, grasses, ground covers, houseplants, vegetables, herbs and garden related items. Master Gardeners will be on site to assist with purchases and answer questions. Cash, checks and credit or debit cards are accepted.

Please note: No contestant fishing in the tournament may be a Pro, Fishing Guide, or have collected $3,000.00 or more in tournament winnings on Table Rock Lake in 2021. Check In/Registration will be at Table Rock State Park. The weigh-in and lunch will be at the State Park Marina. All funds raised will benefit people with disabilities and help pay for personal and medical unmet needs of those served by The Arc of the Ozarks.
