School District Highlight: Logan-Rogersville

Logan-Rogersville School District sits at the intersection of three counties (Greene, Webster and Christian).  The district operates five schools: Logan-Rogersville Primary School (Pre-K - Grade 1), Logan-Rogersville Elementary School (Grades 2-3), Logan-Rogersville Upper Elementary School (Grades 4-6), Logan-Rogersville Middle School (Grades 7-8) and Logan-Rogersville High School (Grades 9-12). 

 The school district’s main mission is to “provide all students with the skills and knowledge necessary for successful participation in our changing society.”  This is shown through the district’s high graduation rate of 92% and  the composite ACT score being a 21 with 96% of students tested.. (Niche.com)  Another great attribute is the student-teacher ratio of 15:1, the National average is 17:1. This ratio has remained relatively constant over the past few years.

The A+ Scholarship Program is another huge benefit to students at Logan-Rogersville! Students who successfully complete the requirements of the program,  will be eligible to receive the A+ Scholarship to cover the cost of tuition and general fees (as funds are available) at any Missouri public community college or vocational/technical school!

Logan-Rogersville High School is one of the few schools in Missouri that offers the Missouri Seal of Biliteracy.  This is awarded to graduating high school students who have demonstrated achievement in English, a Language Other Than English and sociocultural competence.

Athletics is a big part of the Logan-Rogersville culture.  The school district sits in the Top 50 of Best School Districts for Athletes in Missouri.  LRHS teams have a dominant history in the Missouri State High School Activities Association’s state tournaments with both team and individual sports.  Sports offered range from tennis and cross country to baseball/softball, basketball and football. 

Not only does Logan-Rogersville offer multiple athletic activities, they offer many other extracurricular activities!  CLICK Academy is for students who want to participate in a number of outreach and community support projects. Other popular activities include: Scholar’s Bowl, Speech and Debate, Future Farmers of America (FFA), Theatre, Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) and so many more!
