The Japanese Fall Festival is a celebration of authentic Japanese culture. In typical years, Springfield and Isesaki exchange performers to entertain and share culture at each other’s festivals.
Springfield Sister Cities Association donates half of the Japanese Fall Festival’s admission proceeds to the maintenance and development of the Mizumoto Japanese Stroll Garden, sponsored by Simmons Bank. The remaining proceeds benefit cultural programs which further Springfield Sister Cities Association’s mission of “Peace through People.”

Autumn Daze

The 49th Annual Autumn Daze Festival will feature homemade crafts, foods, live entertainment and more! Artisans and crafters will exhibit their work during the festival in Historic Downtown Branson Thursday - Saturday, Sept. 15-17. Hours are: Thursday & Friday - 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday - 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The festival is free to the public. Throughout each day, an entertainment stage will feature FREE live music from some of Branson's finest entertainers! Crafters and artists from around the country will participate. Shoppers will find a wide variety of items including wood crafts, quilts, clothing, crocheted and knitted items, jewelry, hats, purses, ladies' accessories, toys, floral arrangements, ironworks and collectibles. Many vendors will be demonstrating their techniques! In addition to continuous entertainment and homespun wares, Autumn Daze will also feature a food court, a celebrity autograph booth, a Downtown Branson sidewalk sale and more.
To keep guests and workers safe, each vendor will have hand sanitizer to use before and after touching the items, mask wearing and social distance spacing will be promoted.

Spend the day strolling through Marshfield Square where there will be at least 85 vendor options. Enjoy the tasty treats of Pineapple Whip, kettle corn and an Amish food vendor with all kinds of homemade baked goods. Show off your own baking skills by entering the favorite fall dessert contest. There will also be a car show, quilt show and performances by White Oak Revival and Abundance Quartet. But the biggest event for this weekend full of festivities is the pumpkin chunkin’ competition where you can test to see how far you can chuck a pumpkin.

Warsaw Heritage Days

Over 200 vendors of handmade crafts in Drake Harbor set up for the weekend in huge tents, on the asphalt, and on the lawn in front of the amphitheater. The Warsaw Chamber of Commerce provides golf carts to shuttle guests to and from Drake Harbor, so it’s easy to leave the festival loaded down with goodies. The food vendors include “The Gator Wagon”, “Walking Tacos”, all your traditional fair food like corn dogs and cotton candy, and this year we added an egg roll vendor, sweets and treats, and bratwursts. There is also a direct sales section of Heritage Days, where you can find anything from Avon to Tupperware, clothing and accessories, and hunting and fishing gear.

Beginning in 1966 as a marching band competition, the annual Maple Leaf Festival took its name from Mother Nature’s array of glorious fall colors. Every year, the city of Carthage proudly welcomes 80,000+ visitors to this wonderful fall celebration.
Every year, on the 3rd Saturday of October, the biggest day of the festival begins with the largest parade in Southwest Missouri. This keystone event begins at 9 a.m. and ends around noon. The parade begins on the Historic Square and ends at the Carthage Jr. High.
Events are scheduled throughout the day including the band festival, art & crafts vendors, car and tractor shows, wine tasting, quilt show, food vendors, and live entertainment.
The month of October is filled with activities including art and museum exhibits, lobster boil, bike tour, carnival, evening 5K, beauty pageants, dog show, chicken pageant, gospel sing, cruise-in, costume ball, and a lip-sync competition. Celebrating its 53rd year in 2019, the Maple Leaf Festival welcomes you.
