Sellers are still in a great spot as we roll towards the end of 2021!  Buyer demand is still outweighing the current supply of homes for sale.  According to the National Association of Realtors (NAR), today’s housing inventory sits at only a 2.6 month supply.   A neutral market typically features a 6 month supply.

In the Springfield market, we currently have .7 months supply of inventory!  The Median Price for homes is $235,000 - up almost 10% from 2020!  The average amount of days that homes are staying on the market is 6 days!  

The same NAR data shows today’s inventory of single-family homes is trailing behind the level the real estate market saw last year::

Because of the ongoing market challenges, buyers can sometimes feel like they are wandering through an empty desert when searching for the next home.  Sellers this means you could provide the oasis for these buyers who are looking for their options!

The latest Realtors Confidence Index Survey shows that homes are receiving an average of 3.8 offers.  Remember, this is a national average but when sellers are presented with a multiple-offer scenario it lets the seller select the best offer for them and their family!
