Happy Birthday America! It’s that magical time of year when we all gather in celebration and blow things up. Covid-19 virus concerns have shut down a few annual fireworks shows. If you are looking to avoid the personal risk of being your own pyro, then there are still several professional shows around the Ozarks to enjoy.
Bolivar, MO is having it’s 40th Annual Celebration of Freedom on July, 4th. Hosted at Southwest Baptist University, the event will begin at 5:30pm with fireworks starting at dusk. Social distancing must be observed by attendees. Bolivar, MO is just a 25 minute drive north of Springfield.
Hollister, MO is hosting an annual fireworks celebration at Point Lookout area on July 4th. Event will include the Little Miss Firecracker Pageant, music, and more. The pyrotechnics begin at dusk. Hollister is just a stone’s throw south of Branson.
Kimberling City, MO is observing Independence day a day early. The Annual Fireburst Celebration will be held Friday, July 3rd. Fireworks will be fired above Missouri Highway 13 Bridge over Table Rock Lake. Fireworks will be detonated around 9pm. If you’ve never viewed a fireworks show over one of the Ozarks’ beautiful lakes, this is a good place to start.
