Sparta’s Annual Easter Egg Hunt

Bunnies and ducklings and chicks, oh my! We'll roll out and bake delicious sugar cookies, learn about working with royal icing, and let our creativity run wild as we decorate adorable Easter cookies that will make you the envy of Easter Bunnies near and far. 

Once the icing is dry (the next day), you'll be able to take home your cookies, and they'll keep till Easter (unless you eat them first)!

This week’s project is an Easter Egg Suncatcher! Make one Easter Egg for $17 or the same person can make two for $31. (Price does not include tax and the $10 per maker studio fee.) No experience necessary. This project can often be completed in less than an hour. 

Reservations are required. A $10/person non-refundable deposit is required to confirm your reservation. (If canceled with at least 48 hour notice, the deposit can be used for a future maker session.)

An indoor Easter Egg Hunt for kids (birth to 6th grade) who would prefer an Egg Hunt with less noise and less crowds.

We will have 20 minute reservations with only 5 kids and their siblings. Families can move through the stations (Egg Hunt or Tabletop Egg Hunt, Photo Booth, Craft Area, Snack Area, and Prize Egg Area) at their best pace during their 20 minute reservation. From the tiniest of tots to the most seasoned of egg hunters, everyone is welcome to join in on the fun. So put on your bunny ears and grab your baskets, and let's get cracking on a memorable Easter adventure! Bring your baskets for egg-citing fun, with egg hunts for different age groups! We will also have crafts, face painting, several inflatables, and yard games on site as well! Parking will be located at the 4H Center, in designated grass areas, and along the thoroughfare in the park.

The Easter Bunny is coming to town! On Saturday, April 8th head to Nixa for their annual Easter Egg Hunt. The Easter Bunny will be hopping around for pictures too! The event begins at 6:00pm, with activities running until 11:30 am.

Dog Easter Egg Hunt

They are back with all the eggs this year! 4 total hunts with eggs full of great prizes and treats! Easter Bunny photos are also returning! Bring your furry friends & a basket for our first ever egg hunt!

There is a $10 donation to Havaheart Rescue per household to participate in one of the egg hunts! Photos with the Easter Bunny will also be available for a $10 donation to Havaheart!

The egg hunts will take place in the small dog park.  There will be four hunts: small dog hunts at 1pm, 1:30pm & 2 large dog hunts at 2pm, 2:30pm.  Dogs must be leashed for the hunt and their nose must touch the egg before you put it in your basket.  The eggs will be filled with treats, toys, and special giveaways! Including free daycare days and even some annual memberships to Bark Yard up for grabs!

Havaheart Rescue is co-hosting this event with us and they will be bringing adoptable dogs and raffle baskets!  Dallas Jones will be providing live tunes on the patio from 3pm-5pm! Mother's Brewing Company will be serving up beers in the park!  Additional pet vendors will be on site as well!

Easter Egg Hunt

Don’t bet your Easter egg hunt against Mother Nature! Search for eggs, all day long, free, at the Discovery Center on Saturday, April 8 at the Indoor Egg Hunt Presented by Vital Farms.

Trade your eggs in for prizes and learn a little bit of science as you explore over 6 combined floors at this indoor Easter egg hunt. Eggs will be restocked every hour. Best of all, it’s free with admission and perfect for the entire family.

Indoor Egg Hunt activities are free with the cost of general admission and free for all Discovery Center Members–no need to buy a special ticket ahead of time:

Join us for Big Cedar’s Annual Easter festivities and an egg scavenger hunt! Check in at the Grandview Conference Center lawn to collect your egg hunt clue sheet that will lead you on a fun scavenger hunt across the property finding yummy, filled eggs the Easter Bunny hid with the help of our friendly Big Cedar team! Families with little children can ride our Big Cedar Trams to each clue while other families can enjoy the hunt on foot. After you complete the egg hunt you can enjoy a fun-filled afternoon of inflatables, face painting, a petting zoo, and crafts at the Grandview Conference Center. Appropriate footwear is strongly recommended.

Glow in the Dark Egg-Mazing Race Egg Hunt

Grab your teammates and race other teams around the Big Cedar property for glowing Easter eggs filled with prizes. This is not your average Easter Egg Hunt, but more like an egg-citing amazing race! Each team will have to complete fun tasks before receiving their next clue and eggs. After your scavenger hunt is complete, enjoy s’mores by the fire and lawn games!
