It’s the most wonderful time of the year!  We want to keep you up to date on all of the Holiday Happenings in the 417!   So first up in our Holiday Spirit Guides.. Christmas parades and Holiday Markets!





Mayor’s Tree Lighting Holiday Show
Saturday, November 19 


This year’s Mayor’s Tree Lighting Holiday Show will again be broadcast live on KY3 Sat., Nov. 19, 7-8 p.m. 

Cozy up and watch at home or join us on Park Central Square in Downtown Springfield and watch performances on the big screen with the lighting of the Mayor’s Tree live on the square just before 8 p.m.!

• 6-7 p.m. – Free ice skating at Jordan Valley Park

• 6-9 p.m. – Free horse drawn carriage rides beginning at Park Central Square (southwest corner)

• 6 p.m. – Children are invited to join Mayor Ken McClure on stage at Park Central Square for Holiday Storytime: the reading of ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas. Free books while supplies last courtesy the Mayor’s Commission on Children.

• 6:15 – Santa and Mrs. Claus arrive at Park Central Square on the Holiday Express Train.

• 6:20-7 p.m. Live performances on the Park Central Square stage

• 6:30-9 p.m. –Santa Land Opens on Park Central Square – selfies with Santa and Mrs. Claus; free Holiday Express Train rides, Cookie Factory open; Jingle Bell Station open.

• 7-7:45 p.m. – Pre-recorded holiday television special broadcast on KY3 and in Park Central Square on the jumbo screen.

• 7:45 p.m. – Santa, Mrs. Claus and special musical guests join Mayor Ken McClure, Paul and Maria and Cora for the countdown and lighting of the official Mayor’s Christmas Tree. 

• 7:55 p.m. OFFICIAL LIGHTING

• 8-9 p.m. Talented local performers via video on the jumbo screen and continued opportunity to visit Santa and Mrs. Claus at Santa Land in Park Central Square.





Ozark Annual Christmas Parade
Saturday, November 19 - 5:00pm 


The event brings out town residents and visitors in masses. Families line the streets to cheer as their favorite entries pass by. Bring your lawn chairs & blankets to secure a comfy viewing spot on the sidewalk along the parade route. We look forward to seeing you at this treasured Ozark community event!



Christmas on the Frisco Parade
Saturday, December 3rd - 2:00pm 


Join in on the fun with the Willard Parks & Recreation Department on Saturday, December 3rd!  The parade begins at 2:00pm but don’t miss out on the other fun!  There will be crafts and photos with Santa! 


Annual Bolivar Christmas Parade
Saturday, December 3rd - 5:30pm 


Join in on the fun at the Annual Bolivar Christmas Parade on Saturday, December 3rd!  The parade begins at 5:30pm and this year’s theme is A Merry and Bright Christmas! 



Marshfield Christmas Parade
Saturday, December 3rd at 7pm


The theme of the Christmas Parade this year is Light Up Marshfield. 

The Marshfield Chamber of Commerce is planning to have fun festivities going on around the Marshfield Square on the day of the Christmas parade. The parade is set for Saturday, December 3rd at 7pm.



Nixa Christmas Parade
Sunday, December 4 at 2pm


On Sunday, December 4th, Nixa will hold its annual 68th Christmas Parade! This year’s theme is ‘A Cinematic Christmas’ pick your favorite Christmas movie to represent your parade entry. The parade will start at 2:00 pm.



Downtown Springfield Christmas Parade 

Saturday, December 10 at 2:00pm

Jingle bells will be ringing and carolers will be singing as the Downtown Springfield Christmas Parade, presented by Penmac, returns on December 10, 2022 at 2 p.m.

With the theme of “Hope for the Holidays” participants will bring their best and brightest out for a day of holiday cheer and support for the Springfield community.



Branson Adoration Celebration Parade

Sunday, December 4 at 5:00pm
Downtown Branson


Each year the Branson community gathers for the Adoration Celebration and Parade to celebrate the true meaning of the Christmas season with the family. For one special night, locals and visitors alike can come together and honor the Christmas story. Make this heartwarming celebration a part of your holiday season this year and create some old-fashioned Christmas memories with those you love.

The 74th annual Adoration Parade and Lighting Ceremony will take place on December 4, 2022.  The time-honored event will begin at 5:30 p.m. with the lighting of the Adoration Nativity Scene atop Mount Branson.

Relics Antique Mall Holiday Open House

Come kick off the holidays with Schofield + Gray at the Holiday Antique and Gift Market. Explore this pop-up market filled with beautifully curated antiques, garden decor, home decor and gift vendors.

General admission is $2 from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. For the early birds, Schofield + Gray is opening the gates an hour early with a $5 admission from 9-10 a.m.


They are just a quick 20 minutes east of Springfield in Fordland, MO at 353 E Main St.

Since 2016, The Springfield Regional Arts Council has helped its member artists sell almost $10,000 in art through the annual $100 & Under exhibit held each December. The exhibit will be located for the one-night Art Market at the Springfield Art Museum, open during December’s First Friday Artwalk.
